How the days between dates are counted
By default the calculator counts the days from the start date up to, but not including, the end date — the same way most contracts, loan periods and countdowns work. Tick “Include end date” to count both days (useful for vacations or event durations).
Business days
Business days count Monday to Friday only. Public holidays differ by country and state, so subtract any holidays that fall in your range.
Adding months
When you add months to a date like January 31, the result is moved to the last day of the target month (February 28 or 29), matching how banks and spreadsheets handle month-end dates.
