How to add the signature to a PDF or Word file
In Word or Google Docs use Insert → Image and choose the PNG. In Adobe Acrobat use Fill & Sign → Add signature → Image. On a Mac, Preview’s Markup → Signature also accepts images.
Is an electronic signature legally valid?
In the United States the ESIGN Act and UETA generally give electronic signatures the same legal effect as handwritten ones for most documents, and many other countries have similar laws. Some documents (such as wills or certain court filings) have special rules — check what your document requires.
