How to resize a photo for an online form

Upload your photo, choose the exam preset (or type your own width, height and KB limits), pick a crop position and press Resize photo. The tool crops to the exact aspect ratio, resizes to the required pixels and adjusts JPEG quality until the file lands inside the KB range — so the portal accepts it on the first try.

Common photo and signature sizes

SSC (CGL, CHSL, MTS, GD)3.5 × 4.5 cm, 20–50 KB, JPG4.0 × 2.0 cm, 10–20 KB, JPG

Passport-size photo3.5 × 4.5 cm—

These figures are widely used but can differ between recruitments. The official notification always wins.

Why is my photo rejected even though it looks fine?

Most rejections come from the file being a few KB over or under the limit, the wrong format (PNG or HEIC instead of JPG), or the wrong aspect ratio. This resizer fixes all three at once. Photos are processed in your browser and never uploaded.

Frequently asked questions

How do I resize my photo for the SSC form?

Upload your photo, tap the “SSC Photo” preset (3.5 × 4.5 cm, 20–50 KB) and press Resize. Download the JPG and upload it to the SSC portal.

How do I reduce signature size to 10–20 KB?

Choose the “SSC Signature” or “IBPS Signature” preset. The tool crops the signature and adjusts quality until the file is inside the KB range.

Can I add my name and date on the photo?

Yes. Tick “Add name & date below photo”, type your name, and the text is printed in a white strip at the bottom.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. The tool runs entirely inside your browser, so your files and data never leave your device. Nothing is stored or seen by us.
